St Margaret

November Forest Church special

Save the date Saturday the 16th of November 2024

We will gather in the afternoon (2.30 for 3) for a special Forest Church in the woodland at Asheiri in Creetown.

St Margaret arriving in Scotland (from a painting in mount Stuart house, Bute)

Our themes will be migration, the life of St Margaret, and the turning of the wheel of the year into winter.

We will have times of reflection exploring the tension between migration, living on the Way, and compassion, love is relational.

How do we experience Love here and now, with a longing for eternity. Taking time out to become aware of the forest changing as Autumn moves into winter will hopefully help us visualise community, homeland, and yet the kingdom to come.

Sometimes in words, and sometime without words, just watching the green in the leaves retreating to reveal the orange, as summer makes way for winter, and waits until spring.

We can chat while roasting marshmallows, a primitive fire cooked food being both homely and fleeting.

Times and details to follow – get in touch if you have ideas to contribute.
