In January series of “Faith and Art” workshops are planned with St Michaels church. These are an opportunity to gather and develop the skills of Seeing, Exploring, Understanding and Expressing matters of faith through the arts.
These are core skills of Quartz!
Please come along for the four Wednesdays in January (8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th). We will meet in St Michaels church hall from 1pm to 3pm. The sessions are free and here is more info. about the first one

- How can simple words describe feelings like beauty, wonder, value? Bring something you value for more than its physical components and we will take time to reflect on the wonder and beauty we are surrounded with everyday.

We will be using the Broom’s Road Entrance to the halls which lie on the perimeter of the church site and on the Broom’s Road. I will be there to greet you for the first session. Please call me if you have any difficulties with location or access on the day. Also below some further information on the programme of ‘Faith & Art’ or ‘Creative Spirituality’. The classes will be led by Simon Lidwell and colleagues from Wordsmith Crafts.
Class 1 – Talking about Beauty, sensing the unseen value of things. 8th January, 2025. 1-3 pm
Everyone brings something they value, or think is beautiful and shares the unseen thoughts and feelings that it holds for them. Once everyone has spoken uninterrupted, then there will be time for general discussion.
