An insight into the Loreburn Centre
We have had two days in the Loreburne centre now. Volunteers from Quartz and other areas of Wordsmith Crafts activity have gathered with drop in members of the public to make things and chat.
The first Saturday had the theme of St Andrew, for St Andrews day, and the second had a theme of boats. This Saturday we will be thinking about clothing.
We have tried to strike a balance between doing and reflecting. The hands on activity of making provides an antidote to the atmosphere of consuming which can be all too dominant at this time of year. The artwork and themes help create a space where discussions about #SensingSpirituality and the deeper aspects of life can occur in a relaxed manner.
